Photocopies (30pp) of papers relating to his First World War service with the 1/5th Battalion Sherwood Forresters (Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Regiment) TF (139th Brigade, 46th Division) attached to the Royal Engineers Light Railway Section in France, in which he served as superintendent of light railways for the 4th Army, and afterwards commanded workshops and depots at Beaurianville and Audruicq. Including a short ts history of the light railway workshops, maps of railways around the Western Front, ms notes on 4th Army train operations and photographs.
